Author's Review

I purchased my 05 Equinox brand new in October 2004. I purchased it because it was a appealing Chevrolet. I currently have 116,000 miles on it. I love it. The NOX has a smooth ride, even over railroad tracks. It has good power with the 3.4 V6 at 185 hp. The radio sounds great and its the base CD radio model, plenty of bass. The lights are bright and really safe at night.
What I hate the most about it is the blind spots which is the A pillar and the driver sides rear. I have learned to work it though so its not so bad now. The seats are cloth and stiff, they are not too comfortable during long rides. The head rest arent adjustable and they are angled too far forward. I believe that this is for rear end whiplash reasons.
116,000 miles and only in the shop once. The problem was at 65,000 miles when the head gasket went. This was due to a recall with the coolant hoses that were used with the dexcool antifreeze. The system was flushed and the head gasket repaired. Running strong today and would buy another one. None of the other problems that others have, every car is different and I lucked up and got a good one.
