Product Review

Never Should Have Bought IT!!!!

by   logan70389 ,   Jul 28, 2007

Pros:  Really fast - basically a V8 on a frame w/tires that glue it down

Cons:  Typical of a GM car of the 80's. It's worse than my 1974 Vega was.

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

Worst car I've ever owned - and I've even owned a 1974 Vega before!! I'm not sure how Chevrolet/GM can design the flagship of their entire fleet - and have it not able to start. They are also incapable of fixing it - after 3 years GM still doesn't know what's causing the problem. Do an internet search on 2005 Corvette DBS (Dead Battery Syndrome) before buying - or even considering one. My has the 6-speed manual transmission and does not shift nearly as well as a 1987 Toyota pickup truck I once owned. There is nothing about the car that is quality - shifter, electrical system, paint - nothing. I hate to see the Corvette name drop to this level as I'm a car guy from the 60's - when a Corvette was THE car to have. No more. It's clear why every other foreign competitor is in the process eliminating GM year after year after year.
