by   spaceneedleboy ,  Sep 6, 2005
Pros: Styling, workmanship, simplicity.

The Bottom Line: Dependable, basic, competent transportation car at a bargain-basement price.
Review: Almost five months ago, I was ready to replace my 1995 Saturn SL. Since purchasing that Saturn brand-new, I had traveled 205,000 miles through an incredible variety of driving conditions. My car was at a point where the Saturn's original engine ...

Review: I purchased a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo in September of 2005 at Champion Chevrolet in Austin, Texas. My toyota was being repaired and I was driving a rental car, which was an Aveo. I immediately fell in love with it's ease in handling, and was totally amazed ...

Very pleased with the Aveo

by   joalesh1 ,  Mar 15, 2006
Pros: Excellent gas mileage. Able to park in tight spaces. Quick and agile.
Cons: No power locks, windows or cruise control.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to someone who makes long commutes and wants to ride in style, comfort and save money.
Review: I purchased my Aveo in Sept of '05. I had previously had a '03 Olds Alero but it was flooded out by Hurricane Katrina. At first this wasn't the type of car I would have bought. It seemed small and cheap looking, especially the 4 door sedan. When the ...

Chevy's baby beatle

by   shatterblu ,  Dec 21, 2004
Pros: Most everything
Cons: Shifter function and sun-visors
The Bottom Line: If you want a good sub-compact this rebadged Daewoo is it.
Review: I love this little car the exterior wasn't that attractive at first but after a few seconds of looking at it, it's nice looking considering its only competition is the rare and sub-standard Toyota echo. It has tiny 14' Alloy wheels that look nice, to me ...

Amalgamation of a beatle, liberty, and a town and country

by   anthom ,  May 16, 2005
Pros: It's a real car not a toy likes it's competition.
Cons: umm, cheap sunvisors...
The Bottom Line: If you wan't a small car and prefer a traditional look to all the weirdness, get this car.
Review: O'kay I've had this car now for about 5 months and I've got to say something about any professional reviews you've ever read about this car because it really takes about 4 full months to break in this car but after you do the 10 sec' 0 to 60 time ...

Best solution for a tight budget

by   miteypen ,  Jul 17, 2006
Pros: Great gas mileage, versatility of a hatchback, roomier than it looks, peppy, can park anywhere!
Cons: The ride can be a bit bumpy and there's a small blind spot.
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend the Aveo for those who want a lot of car for little money. Be forewarned, though: the extras can jack up the price.
Review: We did online research and found this exact car at a local dealership so we knew up front what was available. We owe a lot to the dealership for getting us in a car--our credit ain't the best. But they probably wanted to get rid of the vehicle: it's the ...

Great little car at a great value...

by   scblade27 ,  Aug 19, 2005
Pros: Good gas mileage (25 to 35), roomy, comfortable, value, easy
Cons: Not as fun to drive as other cars
The Bottom Line: Great car for its class. It easy to drive, trouble free and fairly cheap to drive as well as comfortable on long trips. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
Review: I purchased the 2005 LS a couple of months ago. With the employee discount I paid $10,600 at Holler. This price included A/C, rear spoiler, and the standard LS stuff. I didn’t spring for the CD player, but instead went to circuit city and bought a higher ...

I go EVERYWHERE with this reliable car!

by   marinerschicka ,  Dec 3, 2007
Pros: Gas mileage, of course. Reliable. Bigger inside then you'd think.
Cons: Slow. No cruise control. Hydroplanes easy.
The Bottom Line: It's the most reliable car I've ever driven. Can't get better than this, especially for it's inexpensiveness.
Review: Almost a year ago, I bought the Aveo used, with about 15,000 miles on it. I drive the heck out of this car! I live near Portland Oregon and have driven it down to the Mexico border, ALL over California and back...not to mention I drive 45 min to/from ...

by   rhionnan ,  Feb 26, 2005
Pros: The ride, gas mileage, roomy for a little car,and the unique look
Cons: Not having standard ABS Brakes, cruise control, and cup holders block the heater controls
Review: I just bought my 2005 Aveo LT 5 days ago and I love it so far. I bought the Aveo because I needed a economical car and so far the gas mileage is good. I did test drive a Echo and I did not like the ride as much as my Aveo. When I went car hunting my ...

Chevy Aveo -- a real surprise

by   alohman ,  Sep 6, 2005
Pros: Handling, interior room (for a small car), gas mileage.
Cons: None really -- for a small car.
Review: I had the opportunity to drive this little car (it was a cheap rental) for five weeks this summer. It was fun to drive, got good (not fabulous) gas mileage, and had a surprisingly large amount of room for such a little car. My husband of 6'5" had ...
