darn good truck

This is my 4th S10. All have been extended cab, and the last three have been 4WD, stick shift versions. All have been pretty much bulletproof. This one was bought new in May 2003 and has about 28,000 miles on it. I had to have the control module for the AC/heater replaced last year (under warranty), and this year I replaced the drive belt. That's pretty much it for maintenance, other than routine oil changes and tire rotations.

I am selling the truck in the next month or two, as soon as my new Suzuki SX4 comes in to the dealer. We need more people carrying capacity and the truck only carries two (the small back seat is not suitable for an adult). Our other car is a 2006 VW Beetle convertible, ostensibly a 4-passenger car but functionally only carries two people. So we had to move to something larger. I hate to part with my S10 - it's been a great truck. But I don't want to spend the $26-30k necessary for a new Crew Cab Colorado, even though I'm sure it would be at least as reliable as my S10s have been. This will be the first time in 25 years that there has not been a Chevy in my driveway, and if they made anything like the SX4 with switchable 4WD I would have bought it from Chevy. But they don't.
