GREAT SUV

by   johngia ,  Jul 27, 2005
Pros: Very reliable truck - great buy for a large family
Cons: Few to speak of
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this truck to anybody in the market for an SUV. Reliability matches my Lexus.
Review: This is my second Suburban, and it's better than the first (1997 model). I bought it new 4 years ago, and now have 82,000 miles on the vehicle. During that time, I've had it in for two repairs: the rear air conditioner went out, and the parking break ...

2001 Chevy Suburban 2500 - love it!

by   skyebluewater ,  Feb 12, 2005
Pros: Great design, great room, easy to drive
Cons: big to park, high gas prices = a lot of money to fill the tank!
The Bottom Line: I do recommend this vehicle - tows really great, comfortable, holds everything, goes where you want it to go, looks and feels good to drive
Review: We bought a used 2001 Chevy Suburban 2500, with a 6.0 liter engine about a year ago. We needed a bigger vehicle to pull our camping trailer, and since I was going to be trading in my '98 Chevy Tahoe, instead of my husband trading his truck, I really ...

by   landocommando ,  Sep 30, 2001
Pros: Large, but not too large, powerful, rugged, great ride, Chevy truck reliability.
Cons: NONE
The Bottom Line: If you want to carry nine people in comfort, but want the capabilities of a truck without going the extreme, with a smooth agile ride, go with the Suburban.
Review: The most dependable, longest-lasting trucks from Chevy.
It's no wonder that Americans love their Chevy trucks. They're the most dependable, longest- lasting trucks on the road. Chevy continues to offer America's most complete line of trucks which...

The Best SUV For The Money

by   suburbanlover ,  Jul 5, 2007
Pros: Safe, Fast, Reliable, very Roomy and extremely comfortable.
Cons: Parking was hard until I bought a $80.00 backup camera
The Bottom Line: You can't put a price on safety and feels like a Corvette 0-75 MPH
Review: I bought this Suburban with 90,000 miles and could not be happier. I got 18.7 MPG on my first trip. The power is great especially for getting out of unsafe situations. It is very reliable and except for a couple pieces of $20.00 plastic, it is like new. ...

The Official Car of Texas - Silverado Meets El Dorado

by   kwslhs ,  Apr 20, 2001
Pros: Roomy, Solid, Powerful, Quiet. Lives up to the promise.
Cons: Requires additional forethought when maneuvering.
The Bottom Line: I've gone nearly 40 years without buying a GM product and this one changed my mind. I like to think that it's not me who's changed - it's Chevrolet.
Review: The new Suburban: Silverado meets El Dorado. Now that the 2001 model is no longer the debut year for the new Suburban, comparisons to last year's model are a bit dated. However, it's hard to resist commending GM for the excellent job in engineering this...

Suburban 2001, the journey begins . . .

by   billdsmith ,  Sep 13, 2000
Pros: Comfortable, roomy, smooth drive, easier cornering that would have expected
Cons: Size - make sure your garage can fit it in!
Review: Well, the 1990 Range Rover had served it's purpose, as well as lined the pockets of the local dealership for frequent (and costly) repairs. The things I truly loved about the Rover were that I could drive it practically anywhere my eyes could see and it...

by   Consumer_Scout ,  Apr 13, 2002
Pros: Comfy and great towing capacity. Feeling of security with the fun of a POWERFUL engine.
Cons: Difficult to get into for shorter or older people. OEM tires not adequate.
The Bottom Line: Safety, comfort, and the ability to carry lots of people and luggage and the fun of a big block engine makes this a fine vehicle for your chariot of choice.
Review: You want comfort, a feeling of security and safety for you and yours, and you want an engine that gets up and goes? Then you want to consider a 2500 Suburban with the 8.1 liter engine.

I have lived abroad for several years and I noticed that...
