Good Used Car Buy if You Need a Hauler

The Bottom Line: Recommended for light hauling. Out of favor now, can be bought for a low price. Reasonably good fuel economy with large V-6 for such a large vehicle.
Review: Bought a used 2001 Astro passenger van (rear wheel drive) in 2007. Dealer was thrilled to sell it, at a low price. In 2008, you can probably get an even better deal.

It is a truck for us, for hauling and light towing, not a daily driver...

The Bottom Line: If you are looking for something to haul stuff (or kids) in, this is a good van for you, plenty of room, and very convenient.

Don't Mess With Success

The Bottom Line: This car is a great alternative to car-based minivans for the buyer interested in durability, reliability, and the most amount of space for the money.

The box that drives like a dream

The Bottom Line: If your family is cramped in a car and a full size van is too bulky. This is the best alternative on the market. I will buy another in 2011.
Review: This is the best van I could find for my money. I had previously owned a 1989 Astro van which Consumer Reports had rated very poorly, I had only one minor problem in the 9 years, 120,000 miles I owned it.
