The Best on the Planet

by   adam728 ,  Jan 7, 2000
Pros: Tough as a rock, looks great, always ready to perform.
Cons: Mine has a V-6, paint has begun to peel, expensive to lift.
The Bottom Line: I recommend it because it is a good, tough truck. It'll haul huge loads (have WAY overloaded mine when wood cutting season hits) and should last forever.
Review: Chevy makes the best trucks!! Period!! I own a 92 half ton work truck and I love it. This is a very nice truck, and I constantly get compliments on it. My truck has been made to stand out in a crowd, with a 2 inch lift, 32 inch tires, 15x8 inch rims,...

The Heartbeat of America

by   BESTSHOT1 ,  Jun 23, 2002
Pros: Very Powerful V-8, Comfortable, and attractive inside/out.
Cons: The paint is weak, Fuel mileage suffers due to high-powered V-8.
The Bottom Line: Bottom line is: If it's a Silverado V-8, BUY IT!!! You simply will not get a better truck for the money.
Review: I bought a '92 Silverado 1500 Series about 2 months ago, for my car lot. I decided to drive it to lunch one day, and have been driving it as a daily driver every day since that point. I sincerely enjoy this truck. The Silverado has more power than it...

Like a Rock

by   dossfarms ,  Feb 27, 2001
Pros: Looks great, dependable, and all around great truck
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Long lasting, great looking, and very tough truck
Review: I have owned this truck for four and a half years and I have had no problems at all with the truck. All I have done to it is put a fan belt on it, change the front and rear differential oil, transmission oil and the normal 3000-mile engine oil change....

Review: I own a 1992 Chevy Z71 Pickup. It's been the best truck I've owned. I've had it 7 years now, It just turned 80,000 miles and I still have people ask me " Is that a 1996 model " I keep good care of it at it takes care of me. In the last...

Long Lasting Pick-up (Even in Minnesota)

by   coolnick73 ,  Dec 10, 2004
Pros: Chevy 350 engine is a good runner, body seems impervious to rust.
Cons: Paint tends to flake off on this year of Chevy.
The Bottom Line: This pickup is not without faults, but they are easy to live with because of the dependability.
Review: I don't know what causes people to join the GM, Ford or Chrysler camp, nor why loyalties tend to be so long lasting. But in the case of the 1992 Chevrolet K-1500, Chevy loyalty must stem from a good experience with a well built machine. I got my 1992 ...

What a Truck!

by   021577 ,  Feb 29, 2000
Pros: Great looks and power
Cons: Bad paint job
Review: I bought my 1992 Chevy, because it had every thing I needed. It has great looks on the outside as well as on the inside. The bench seat is very comfortable and it gives you plenty of leg room.
The exterior is very eye catching with slick...
