Author's Review
My husband and I had purchased a 1992 Chevy Blazer 4wd about 3 years ago. We absolutly loved it, plenty of room, drives good, and looked pretty good too. The gas milage was average.
Anyway about 7 months ago someone ran a stop sign and hit me full force on the passenger side back door, when it hit, it flipped on to the drivers side and skidded, then flipped over onto the roof and spun around.
The truck had a digital dash, and I was just coming in to town right by the police station, where the speed limit is 25, so I do know for a fact that I was doing 27. They say the people that hit me were doing 39 to 40.
Thank goodness my kids were not with me. The truck was of course totaled, they couldnt even get the key out, the whole dash was in my lap!
My sister was with me ahe had on shorts and got out with a couple of cuts on her legs, me, I was pretty shook up and after a couple of days I did start going to therapy for my neck and back. I had my seatbelt on, so I was hanging upside down for a little bit until they got me out. Now everyone tells me I'm just lucky to be alive. And the detective said if it had been a grown man, he would have been seriously injured, or may have not survived.
See, my sister and I are small, and short. So the flipping thing can happen very easily with these trucks, but in a way had it had been some other vehicle, it could have been worse. However I never had any trouble on wet roads, it always seemed to handle nicely. Never the less we decided to get a car this time, and it took some getting used to after having a truck so long, and I do miss it a little, but I like my car now, and I actually do feel safer. I do have pictures of the wreck, but I don't know how to put them on here.
