I owned 4 of these Citations

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

I, and my family, actually owned 4 of these Citations. A 1980 4 door V6, a 1980 4 door 4 cyl, a 1981 V6, and a 1983 4 door 4 cyl. My dad bought the first one, the 1980 4 door 4 cyl, as a former rent-a-car for $5000. He bought another and gave the 2 he bought to us, ultimately. I bought 2 more.

The 4 cylinder cars got up to 25mpg. The 6 cylinder cars got about 16mpg at best!

The worst thing is that after about 120,000 miles is everthing that can leak, leaks. Engine oil, coolant, transmission oil.

Brakes are great, steering gets sticky spots, especially when turning to the left.

Too bad about the mechanics, or this would be a really great car!
