Author's Review

I had both a 1983 Chevy Camaro and a 1988 Chevy Camaro IROC. Definitely great sports cars, great looks, great sound, great head-turners. I loved the sportiness of them and never minded writing out my car payment each month because it was for something I really loved. That said, both cars were horrible in the rain and snow. I used to put a suitcase of hardback books in the trunk each winter, just to give the rear-end some weight. Also, the heater vents were right at knee level so my feet were always cold. Forget about using the backseat for anything but holding packages or small children. I won’t even mention insurance payments, which were astronomical even with my clean driving record. Would I do it again? Sure, I was just out of college and sportiness and “coolness” were what I wanted at the time. I still want to be thought of as cool now, but I don’t want to have to have someone help me get out of the backseat of the car!!!
