Product Review

New? Never. Used, maybe. Maybe.

Pros:  Fair gas mileage for a commuter

Cons:  Too little car for too much money.

Overall Rating: 2/5 stars

Author's Review

I have had three of these in various trim levels over the past 6 months as rental cars and find them to be less than Chevy claims. The four cylinder engine provides decent power, but is noisy and not nearly as refined as the imports. Also, it is thirsty. I think Chevy claims 35mpg(of course under "ideal" conditions)? I have seen 27 mpg on the highway with all three of them. (rented in Pittsburgh, Raliegh, and Kansas City) Fuel mileage is not that great. A Taurus with a V6 gets that and has more room and power.

All were 4 door models, but rear seat space in cramped and leg room very tight. I am only 5'7" so with the driver seat adjusted for me the rear passenger gets about ten inches of foot room. That is terrible.

Fit and finish is fair, but again below other makers. Controls seem well laid out, stereo is nice and XM built in is great. I priced the various trim levels out on GM's web site and found $16,000-$21,000.
