Author's Review
My work truck assigned to me is this vehicle. I drive it of course on roads but also on grass, in the mud and on horrible mountain roads off the pavement. I carry tools in the cargo area that fills that area and technical manuals in the back seats in plastic containers. And I have a mobile radio used to communicate with my co-workers and aircraft as needed. I picked up the truck about 3 weeks ago with 7 miles on it. I love the MP3 jack in the radio for plugging in my MP3 player (sorry, my last vehicle, an 03 Tahoe only had a radio). All time 4WD has got to hurt the MPG, as in my opinion the MPG SUCKS. At best 19 MPG according to the computer. I have gotten this vehicle in wet sloppy deep mud and it had zero problem without a hint of getting stuck. Driving on the highway is very crisp handling but I must pay attention as I said it is responsive. A little wind noise at highway speed in the drivers side window (front area) and one of the windshield vents is a little protubing. Does not affect anything so I will only mention when I take it in for normal servicing. I like the 1 year satellite radio (after that if I want it, my agency says I have to pay, I don't like it that much as radio or CD/MP3 is ok for me). I have a lot of windshield time and do like this vehicle, I will be in it for usually around 5 years. Cargo are is small compared to my old 03 Tahoe, and the AC appears to be slighty weaker as compare to my previous ride, though we shall see this summer. Headroom is great, as I had once a 97 Jeep ? that had almost no headroom ( I at this exact time cannot remember what model it was, looked like a Cherokee wagon?). Oh, I like the cruise control, it works well on hills, both going up and going down keeping the speed constant both ways. The inside look is very like a cockpit and climbing in and out reminds me of one too. Contortion is one adjective you could use, luckily I mastered it right away.
