Chasing Papi Good Caliber Film

I thought this movie would be a bit more edgy but as it turns out it is sort of a soft spoof. The plot is funny enough: Latin Casanova turns out to be dating 3 entirely different women who all find out on the same day and set out to teach "Papi" a lesson. There's a few plot twists involving a stolen vehicle, beauty pageant, and a mythological spirit! I don't want to give it all away so go see the movie. The superb comedic timing and acting of the main cast is on point and a breath of fresh air in an industry with so few latino stars. I was extremely impressed by newcomer Jaci Velasquez's turn as the stuffy Patricia. Her delivery of the character made a great balance between the other two more well-known actresses and really ties in the younger audience. If you're looking for a good time with your spouse, or loved one and you're latino come support this movie so we can have more like it made. The larger audience will enjoy the romantic-tryst gone awry plot (though it tends to drag a bit) and the ending really leaves you wanting to see more of the stars (Chasing Papi 2?) It has potential to break records but it has got to have a good word-of-mouth buzz (think-My Big Fat Greek Wedding type of buzz). By the way the soundtrack is soooooooo tight! Get the music!
