Heart warming story

This has always been one of my favorite books and movies since I was little.

It's the story of a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a little girl and a spider. He was born the runt of a litter and was going to be killed but a little girl Fern came to his rescue. She raised him up and they became the best of friends until it was time for him to be sold. He was sold to Fern's uncle so she could visit him anytime she wanted. Wilbur was not to happy about it and was very lonely. He befriends a spider named Charlotte and they form a very special friendship. He also makes friends with the other animals of the barn. Tempelton the rat tells Wilbur he better enjoy things while he can because he is going to be "fatten up" and killed next season. Wilbur panicks and turns to Charlotte for help. She spins words into her web into an attempt to keep Wilbur alive and it works! Fern's uncle enters Wilbur in a fair contest and there he learns that things can't always stay the way they are. Fern is growing up and would rather spend time with boys then him and Charlotte is dying and won't make it back from the fair. He feels very upset and abanded but takes Charlotte's egg sac back to the barn and raisies some of her children.

It is a heartwarming story about an unique friendship and it tugs at your heart! It deals with growing apart and death , something that everyone must cope with at one time or another.
