The original Angels still shine in this poorly packaged DVD set

The Bottom Line: Graet show, lousy package, great price
To get the entire 1st season of Charlie's Angels, including the pilot movie, and a featurette on the show for under $40 is impressive, but the corners that were cut on the packaging to keep this budget priced is embarrassing to say the least.
The "case", if you can call it that", is about as thick as your average cereal box, and looks as if it would tear easily.
And instead of a nice fold out container, you get a simple slipcase that has 5 different transparent DVD jewel cases. The whole thing looks like some bootleg you would buy at a Swap Meet.
I'm a huge fan of Farrah Fawcett and the early episodes of the show, however, so despite the shoddy packaging, I'm still impressed with the set. I would have paid $8-$10 more for a nicer package, though.
The early episodes of Angels are a riot, and they give you a chance to see many actors before they made it big. In the pilot film, from 1976, you get Tommy Lee Jones, and David Ogden Stiers (Major Winchester from MASH).
A great companion piece to the new film. I got mine at COSTCO for only $32. That's only about $6 a disk! Not bad at all.
