After 6 years still happy - Effective Tidy and Movable!

I originally bought this grill in 1998 for mostly personal use. As a Florida resident, it can be guaranteed of year-round use. I use my grill about once a week. My intentions for a grill to buy were quick to use, efficient, easy to clean and durable. I find the porcelin coated grilling surface wonderful when it comes time to clean it. I often take it to the kitchen sink and use Super-Clean degreaser with hot water..works like a charm! The grill warms to 350 degrees in about 7-10 minutes. It is a good grill as far as taste results. It excells at seafood and lean cuts of meat. I do not recommend it for very fatty cuts or burgers because of flare-ups. This grill works by a single large gas jet directed under a six-inch cast iron disc about 3/8" thick. The flames then shoot out 360 degrees around this disc. Dripping grease easily hits the disc, smolders or ignites on top of it. I did replace the included briquettes with ceramic pyramid-shaped briquettes after several years of use. These pyramid shaped briquettes seem to work nicely....just keep fatty food from the center of the grill or you will get a bad taste. I have been happy with its performance otherwise. Just in the last few months I replaced the rusted iron disc burner with a new one I bought on-line along with a new burner pipe---about $30. I didn't really need to, but wanted to avert future problems...I believe in preventative maintenance. This grill is easy to move! I replaced the smallish Liquid Propane tank that came with it with a "normal" size one. This easily lasts half a year or more! Bottom line: A good grill for basic use that is easy to use and doesn't take up much space. One person can easily cart it around on a hard, flat surface.
