One of the best in the market

We bought a Champion Juicer 2000 in a Health Food Store in Iowa and we consider it one of the best appliances we own.
The champion juice extractor does just what the title says it does, it extracts juice from fresh fruits and vegetables.
I have used every kind of fruit, vegetable and combination of both to make juice.

While some people turn up their nose at fresh carrot juice, our kids love it. I have more luck serving a glass of carrot juice than I do cooked carrots at the dinner table.

The Champion juicer is easy to use although the machine is very heavy. It is a solid piece of machinery and there is nothing flimsy about it.

You have a top feeder and an elongated cylinder which spins the food and expels the pulp while the juice is forced through a screen. The screen is very fine and so what you get is little more than juice.

In my Jack LaLaine juice you cannot put bananas through it since bananas don't have juice and will spoil the machine. But in the Champion I have used frozen bananas and made a soft serve ice cream which my family really likes. I have also used frozen strawberries and frozen peaches. What's nice about this ice cream is the calorie count. Plus it is little more than just fruit. Obviously you have to take the screen out to do this, so I have used the Champion for a lot more than just a juicer.

I have found that if I add an apple to the carrot juice it makes is a lot sweeter. Sometimes I add spinach and tomatoes. You can be very creative with the Champion juicer.

I buy organic fruits and veggies and I know what products I am giving to my family. The juice isn't filled with corn syrup and other sugary fillers. It does take a lot of produce to fill a glass with juice, but it is worth it.

The pulp that is extracted can be used in baked dishes so it isn't wasted.

I recommend the juice is used immediately as most of the vitamins will deteriorate within a few hours. Also, because you use fresh fruit and veggies, it isn't pasteurized so I wouldn't recommend giving it to babies or small children. Pasteurization would allow you to keep it longer but many of the valuable vitamins would be lost.

The Champion juicer is no easier or more difficult to clean than some of the other juicers we have owned. It does take time to take it apart and clean the parts after each use. I have had a problem with the extracting cylinder sticking making it difficult to remove. But you must remove these parts for a thorough cleaning.

Of all the juicers I have owned, the champion is the best made and most versatile.
