No more Houdini imitations!

by   Talisman ,  Nov 10, 2000
Pros: easy to install, locking clip not flimsy plastic, easy to clean
Cons: none really
Review: My 2 year old was in a carseat that fit a child up to 40 lbs. It had the little plastic clip that you slid up to the armpit level to keep the belts tight around the chest. Well my 2 year old decided he no longer wanted that clip up near his chest. It...

Century Breverra Ascend: Makes Moving Your Child from Carseat to Booster Seat Painless!

by   WorkingMomof2 ,  Mar 24, 2001
Pros: Comfortable, easy to install, rounded head support, cup holder, adapts to growing child's needs
Cons: Less head support than I would like, center clip is sticky
The Bottom Line: A well-made boosterseat that adjusts to your child's growing needs, with grown-up styling and features and parent-friendly safety and usability features as well!
Review: I'm not sure when it happened, but suddenly My "baby" is three years old. Where did the time go? Somewhere during the past three years she grew up, went from a short and chunky toddler to a long and rangy three year old. In addition, she's now full of...

Cons: Installation is time consuming.. but time well spent.
Review: When your toddler gets a little too big for his/her carseat, You go looking for the next stage seat. I looked around everywhere (including several stores and Epinions) for the right Booster seat for our family.

I was shopping at Babies-R-Us...

I'm a big kid now! Oops, same as the diaper jingle!

by   pictureperfect ,  Jan 3, 2001
Pros: Cup Holder; Cover allows easy access to thread seatbelt through
Cons: None yet!
Review: First of all, I knew that my son would need a new carseat around the beginning of this year, so I started looking at carseats last summer. My son was getting so tall and the way that his convertible carseat fit into the car, his feet were plastered...

Wonderful Product

by   michellemillig ,  Nov 19, 2002
Pros: we love this model because it is easy to use and has great features
Cons: My husband doesn't like the fact that the cup holder doesn't sit level
The Bottom Line: This is the car seat to get if you have a child graduating from the toddler models and still feel the need to have your child safely secure.
Review: We love this product. I would recommend this seat to anyone whom has a child too big for the toddler seats and needs something to up grade to. My daughter loves the cup holder and the fact that she can still see out the car windows. She was afraid...

A New Century Seat for the New Millennium

by   pmckay ,  Apr 14, 2000
Pros: ease & security of installation, Arm Rests & a cup holder!
Cons: a little more expensive than some boosters
Review: Century finally started listening to its customers! For quite some time, customers, as well as many certified car seat installation inspectors, have been complaining about the Century Breverra booster seat line. While the seat itself is adequate, the...

What a LIFESAVER!

by   wifemommyteach ,  Jan 3, 2001
Pros: Padded and comfy, cupholder, attractive, comfy straps
Cons: May be easier for child to unlatch than a crotch latch
Review: I know it sounds like a bad pun when I say that this carseat is a lifesaver, but it definitely is. I had reached a point with my two-year-old son that I began to dread outings. It's not that he was bad while we were out, or even that he was bad or...

Great car seat!

by   juliebove ,  Sep 16, 2002
Pros: Lightweight and easy to install.
Cons: None really.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this seat for the child needs a booster type car seat. No problems with it and the cup holder is wonderful!
Review: What attracted me to this seat in the first place was the cup holder. My daughter always wanted a drink in the car and I was forever finding stray sippy cups that had rolled under one of the seats. Or she would start whining for me to take her drink...

Ascend Is Travel Comfort and Freedom for Toddler

by   mind-full ,  Feb 27, 2001
Pros: Easy installation, space-saving, affordable, cup holder, child can nap, good padding
Cons: none so far
The Bottom Line: Century Breverra Ascend booster gives a child a comfortable ride with several extras that most other seats don't have for a price that is lower than those with fewer features.
Review: Our 2-year old is an off-the-chart kid for height since about 6 months of age. She is almost 40 inches tall now and sat above the harness points on her Century SmartMoves SE car seat -- the best car seat (I've reviewed it, too!). We hated to leave the...
