Up to Date with an Obsolete Serial Cable

Pros: Will connect a computer to a NexStar controller.

Cons: Obsolete interface, mixed compatibility, high geek factor.

The Bottom Line: It lets you hook up to a NexStar scope, but the only reason you really need to is the 1 or 2 firmware updates you can expect.

This reviewer does not recommend this product.

Review: The Celestron RS-232 NexStar Serial Cable is one of those peculiar products which make me ask myself, "Isn't there some way I can do without this?" RS-232 is long in the tooth- to the point where it is starting to disappear from computers altogether...
