A True Message

I have been a subscriber to Catholic Digest for over a year now and I always look forward to the magazine arriving. I end my day reading a few stories that are printed in the magazine. The stories are always interesting and I think so because they are true life situations. As many married couples, my husband and I are going through a period of adjustment. My new book arrived yesterday and the weather outdoors was extremely bad. The lights went out and caused me to stop watching the soap operas. I opened the blinds and curtains to allow light in the house and reclined on the sofa and began reading my new magazine. The stories I found in the new magazine kept me there for over an hour. One in particular was on marriage encounter weekends and helping a marriage through difficult times. The stories were by real people and truly captured my attention. My attention was drawn so into the stories that I failed to notice when the power was resumed in my home. I plan to attend one of those marriage encounter weekends in the very near future. I have read other similar magazines and none compare to the true life stories as I have found in Catholic Digest. The others often times sound unreal. I have not found that in this magazine. I would suggest anyone giving it a try.
