Author's Review
I bought this camera for 75% work use, 25% personal use. My line of work requires me to take many, many pictures. With my old digital Fuji FinePix I found myself always looking for a convenient place to stow it on my person and there just never seemed to be a good place. So when I went looking for a camera that fit this need, I happily found this Casio. I was a little reluctant to buy a Casio camera. I knew they were big into watches and calculators, but cameras? I finally bought it at BJ's and figured if I didn't like it or it wound up being a dud, I'd just return it. I am now a believer in Casio cameras. I can stow this camera in my shirt pocket, which is exactly where I wanted a camera to fit. I bought a 2GB SD card for it and can now take literally thousands of still pictures and several hours of video without ever needing to transfer to my computer. And no matter how many pictures I take, the battery indicator has never dropped below 2/3 full. With or without flash. I dropped the camera once on a hardwood floor from standing height and it never flinched. Can't say that for my old Fuji. I have just recently had a client need pictures of some VIN tags on a few school busses. Up till this time I mostly just unpacked it, charged the battery and went on my way. With this recent job with the busses, I sat down for lunch one day and learned how to use the macro function. Beautiful, clear, close-up shots of VIN tags that the print can be read in the picture. Not only is this camera so intuitive to use that I was able to unpack it and go, but it has so many more features I didn't even realize it had and with a breeze through the manual I was taking pictures I never thought possible. There is a website on Yahoo called Flikr that displays all kinds of amateur and semi-pro photography. You can enter a camera make and model to see pictures taken with that particular camera. I saw some pictures taken with this camera and thought "Nah. That couldn't have been taken with this camera." But yes, now that I have delved into the menus and seen what this camera is possible of, I absolutely believe it. This is a fantastic camera. Thank you, Casio.
