Cons:
Buttons and dial may be too small for some people
The Bottom Line:
I would definitely recommend this camera to both novice users and those with some photography experience. The camera is easy to use, yet has many options available.

Author's Review
Casio got it right this time with a great camera that appeals to the novice user and beyond. This camera is priced right to include such features as the Best Shot option that allows the user to select a setting based on the subject that will be photographed. This menu is easily navigated on the Exilim's clear, large screen.
Of the many compact digital cameras that I've owned in the past, the Exilim is by far my favorite. Aside from the many great features this camera offers, the selling point for me was the fact that, unlike many other handheld digital cameras, this camera has no shutter delay when snapping a photo.
The design of the camera body was also well thought out. It is compact enough to fit in the back pocket of my jeans, yet still durable. The camera's battery has a long life and will hold a charge regardless of whether or not the camera is used frequently.
The Exilim has very few weak points, but I feel they must be noted. To make room for the larger screen on this camera, the control knob and navigation buttons had to be minimized. The smaller buttons may pose as a problem for some users as it becomes easier to hit a button by mistake. The lettering may also be difficult to read. The other problem with the Exilim is the format used for transferring photos and recharging the camera. The USB and power cords cannot be plugged directly into the camera, but instead into a cradle that holds the camera. This system only poses a problem with portability. Photos cannot be transferred and the camera cannot be recharged if, by chance, the user forgets to bring that cradle along with them.
