G-Shock: Toughest watches ever
Date of Review: Apr 21, 2007
The Bottom Line: I would say that this watch fits all kind of situation: you can wear it whenever, for a diner or in hard, tough situations no problem. Exceptional watch !!!
As a paramedic, I am to be sharp in my assessments of victims and patients, whether at their homes or by car wrecks. The G-2900 I own for three years now has allowed me to go through hard, hard situations in terms of field practise, here, in France - sorry, I forgot: I'm a Frenchman -, but this G-Shock model features very high tech modes and it's highly reliable. Whether crawling into muddy fields after car accidents to extract wounded under rainy skies, or struggling with drugs addicted when it comes to aggressiveness, anyway, whatever the situation, I could always count on my G-Shock to help assess (pulse, blood pressure a.s.o.) and it never defected me.
What I do like in this watch, however, is the light weight, compared to the first G-Shocks I had, back in the early 1990. Moreover, as I'm practising snorkeling, the water resistance to 200 meters is something enjoyable. No need to fear to damage the watch. I once had a Timex Shock watch, but the case wouldn't last long enough: when I first let the battery changed, the case was broken, though I had done it by a Timex retailer. It seems that the composite used by the brand CASIO is very hard and strong.
It is really a tough, reliable, all-terrain watch. You'll never regret having invested in this compact, tough watch !
