by   laengy ,  Apr 21, 2007
Pros: Countdown timer, snooze alarm, long-life battery. Light weight.
Cons: The strap reliability: UV rays and heat may cause cracks at the straps...
The Bottom Line: I would say that this watch fits all kind of situation: you can wear it whenever, for a diner or in hard, tough situations no problem. Exceptional watch !!!
Review: As a paramedic, I am to be sharp in my assessments of victims and patients, whether at their homes or by car wrecks. The G-2900 I own for three years now has allowed me to go through hard, hard situations in terms of field practise, here, in France - ...

Very Nice G-Shock!

by   crazyj1971 ,  May 17, 2005
Pros: Lightweight, tough, 5 alarms, 10-year-battery, loaded with features
Cons: Alarms only beep for 10 seconds at a time, and should be louder
Review: The Casio G2900F-1V G-Shock watch is very rugged, and is loaded with nice features, such as countdown timer, data bank, 5 alarms, auto-light, world time, etc. I especially like that it has a 10-year battery. I also own the Casio DW6900 G-Shock watch, ...

Toughest watch ever made!

by   sgtsonny ,  Mar 26, 2007
Pros: Inexpensive, tough, easy to use, practical, tactical
Cons: Can be slightly bulky on your wrist, until you get used to it
Review: I wore this watch in Iraq for one of my 8 month deployments. I banged it up, beat the crap out of it and subjected it to extreme heat. And it still working perfectly. G-Shocks are the toughest watches out there. Period. About 75% of the Marines in ...

by   agano ,  Oct 13, 2007
Pros: we can say in one sentence: extremely reliable
Cons: for the environment I have, I didn't find any
Review: After long time of using Casio watches, I can tell any one to never hesitate on buying one, whatever the model is. I tried many watches from different models like Edifice, e-data bank, and others.... G-2900F1V is my 1st G-Shock watch. I bought it as my ...

You can't go wrong with a G-Shock.

by   ms529212 ,  Jun 12, 2008
Pros: Very attractive looking; fully functional; long-lasting.
Cons: Casio watch bands are notoriously low quality - the only flaw. :(
Review: I've been wearing Casio watches exclusively for probably the past 20+ years after being disappointed by Timex. The past 3 watches I've owned have been G-Shocks, and I've yet to be unhappy with one. After the battery and EL light in my DW-9052 model ...

G that's a problem!

by   vibor45 ,  Dec 30, 2006
Pros: Styling Function Durability
Cons: Poor quality watch straps
The Bottom Line: I like this product but the watch bands are poor in quality in my opinion and I'll likely replace them with another brand of watch strap.
Review: I have 2 G-Shock watches from Casio including this model. For the most part they have been good watches. Much better than Timex Ironman Shock which seem to crater after a year or two when the buttons on the side seize up and stop working. I like big ...
