The classic G

The Bottom Line: I can easily recommend this one. Great for the budget and will last many many years.
I remember having the original version of this watch when it first came out. It lasted me several years and probably would still be working if I had not lost it.
I was thrilled when I discovered that it was once again in the Casio line. There are a few but minor differences from the original, but the new one is still an excellent watch.
Similar to the old one this one only has one alarm instead of the 3 - 5 found on more modern designs. I can live with that. This model is thinner than most of the others G models which makes it a lot easier to wear with long sleeve shirts.
It does not have the auto EL light unfortunately, but again neither does the original and I can do without it.
This one remains like the original in that its very strong, not overly flashy and has only the basic but very useful features like alarm, countdown timer, back light and stopwatch.
The battery life is advertised as 2 years, although most things I have read about this model from others tends to put the battery life closer to 5.
A great watch with retro-ish looks. If you only need one watch and you need it to last, this one would be an excellent choice.
