Best bang for your buck
Pros:
Small, good size screen, durable, good pics!
Cons:
The 'Best Shot' function, good case mandatory, macro not so great
The Bottom Line:
I would definitely recommend this product to beginners & amateur photographers. For the price, the picture quality is great, the battery is amazing, and it's *tiny*!

Author's Review
Cost - $200 Canadian, including all taxes. (Shelf price was $169)
I have had this camera for about 2 weeks now, and have been running it around and shooting everything that looks like it should have it's picture taken.
This has included several bar runs. The indoor picture quality wasn't great, but turning the flash on helped a great deal. This is also where I found the dreaded BS (Best Shot) button.
When you press this button, it gives you an on screen menu of pre-set settings. (Landscape, portrait, night shot, action, etc.) Using these settings for what they are supposed to be for, gives you absolutely horrible quality.
Mind you I am not a professional, but it's kind of hard to not shoot a dog on the pet setting, and it looks bad.
At this point, I am using just the standard 'auto' mode, and it works pretty well. The only thing I use BS for now, is to use the video.
Video quality - the video quality is great, as it should be for a camera designed to create videos ready to upload to Youtube. I do have 2 problems with the video quality, and both pertain to sound. The first is when playing back a video on your camera, it is *really* quiet.
If I use the A/V output cables that came with it, the playback looks nice on my 42" (Yes, it does widescreen too!), but the sound quality isn't the greatest. (I believe one of the other reviewers said the same as well)
Screen - I believe it is a 2.6" LCD on the back, and the clarity on it is really good. It did get a *small* scratch on the corner after 2 bar trips, but I also did not have a case by then. (My old Sony case works rather well, just keep it covered!)
Battery Life - The battery life is great! Mind you, I've only had the camera 2 weeks, but it has on several occasions made it through 750+ pictures in 14+ hours without charging.
Overall, I think this is a great camera for the price. I'm glad I got this camera, and would suggest if you are looking in the sub-$200 range, check this one out!
