Author's Review
I was very excited about this camera when I bought it for $249 at Circuit City. It was top of the line for my price range, and I was very pleased with it for the first six months. About that time the pictures began to get fuzzy, and assuming that my kids had messed with the settings, I put it aside until I had time to figure it out. Fast forward three months and the pictures became worse, with no fix found. I should have sent it in for repair at this time, but life got in the way. Eleven months into our ownership of the camera, it suddenly shuts down with a "Camera Stabilizer is not available" message. A quick google shows that this is an incredibly common problem with this camera and the only answer is to ship it back to the manufacturer, but even if they repair it, it often returns to the same message. If they replace it, it's with the same model, which has the exact same problem. I paid $229 for the camera, but since the warranty has expired, the repair would run $225 or more. I guess I'm buying a new camera, and not a Casio. Stay away from this one!
