It's Slim. And Red. But That's About It. Darnint.

While it's definitely slim, and definitely red, the Casio Exilim EX-S880 has not otherwise held up its end of the bargain. This is the first (of many) cameras that I've owned that doesn't ever seem to "get" the shot. This might be partially do to the fact that so much time is spent two-handedly fumbling with the buttons; it's impossible to so much as turn this thing on without at least 2 hands, with 3 or 4 being ideal.

I had such high hopes for this camera, having waited patiently for months for its release before finally pulling the trigger in August of 2007. A big jump from my last camera (an ancient 5 megapixels), I was really looking forward to taking advantage of all the technological advances trumpted by Casio.

Amongst those advances, however, is the glaring omission of a charger that does not require a bulky and spaghetti-like wired base.

Also, it's simply inexcusable how long it takes to get to through the "best shot" menu to find the scenery or macro option of your desire.

The 2.8" TFT color LCD screen is definitely large and sharp enough, but in the end I would happily sacrifice a fraction of an inch or so of screen for more functional buttons and therefore an overall more usable device.
