Author's Review
I bought this camera because I misplaced my last Casio digital, which I'd had for two years and loved. The 1080 has a large 2.6 inch viewing screen, but as part of the screen is used for an on-screen control menus; you lose about a quarter inch on the right hand side. Size options for pictures include 10MP, 5MP, A4, A3, and options for video include 4:3 and 19:6 (HD).
One drawback that I've noticed is that the camera isn't programmed to remember what Bestshot option you were using previously. Every time you turn on the camera, it comes up in "snapshot" mode. With the last Casio I had, if you turned the camera off in "black and white" mode, the next time you used it, the camera would remain in that setting. Also, there seems to be a slight lag after you click the shutter. I dont remember having this problem with the last exilim that I owned.
The printed manual that comes with the camera is basically useless; they tried to fit instructions in about twelve different languages into one small book, which resulted in very little useful information actually being included in any of the languages. The camera comes with an informational CD which I havent had the chance to look at yet, hopefully that will be of some help.
