One great Graphing Calculator
I personally love my Casio CFX-9850Ga Plus. It is a sturdy, powerful, and a functional to use. The high point is it's nice color dot matrix display which gives vivid colors, which is nice when you are graphing serveal lines at a time.
The high points of the 9850Ga Plus
The calculator has so many options to choose from. On the main menu you can choose from 15 different options. Inside those options, there are a ton more options to choose from.
Again, the color display is a major selling point. In Pre-Calc I would graph several different lines at a time so I would set a color for each line so I could know which line I was looking at.
Casio has also protected the display by building the case higher then the display, which protects it more from scratches.
There is only two small downsides
This is a minor problem, but navigating the menus can be a little difficult. With the large amount of options that the calculator has you have to go though several menus to get to what you want.
Also another small problem, is you have to be over the display to see the colors. If you don't it all looks like a redish color, instead of the real color. They could have also made more color for it instead of the Orange, Blue and Green.
Overall...
I really like my calculator. It is a tough little thing, it been dropped many times and still works. The display and the colors make grahping nice, and the options out weights some of the TI calculators that I have used. I would recommend this calculator for anyone who is entering a higher level math that requires a Grahping Calculator. They do operate totally different than a TI but the large manual will anwser any question that you have.
