Author's Review
There's something thrilling about hunting dinosaurs. Maybe it's the fact that they're extinct, or dangerous... Carnivores 2 combines the hunting of prehistoric creatures with great-looking outdoor scenes.
Although the levels are large and the graphic effects (with Direct3D) are more than decent. There are a variety of different dinosaurs to hunt, both lethal and non-lethal. You will get the chance to hunt the T-Rex, the most dangerous of all dinosaurs. Other dinosaurs include the Allosaurus, Spinosaurus, and the notorious Velociraptor.
There are a few different weapons to use, including a shotgun, pistol, sniper rifle, and double barrel shotgun. There could have been more, such as another rifle or something.
The levels are quite stunning, even better with a card that supports Direct3D. The water ripples when you move and shoot it, and the sky features a realistic sun which actually hampers your vision.
Even though there was no music, the sound was quite amazing. You can spin your character around and here which direction from which the sound had come from and the outdoor sounds were very realistic.
The artificial intelligence is not good, but it still offers a challenge.
