What do you look for in a Car Stereo Magazine? Well, if it is New Product Reviews on the Top-of-the-line equipment: Car Audio and Electronics is the Magazine for you. It has some of the Best reviews around. Also, look for the Directory Issues that come out every year for previews of new Car Audio products (Very helpful and not found in many other subscriptions).
First of all, the Product Reviews are awesome! They include large pictures and Lengthy descriptions of some of the newest products in the car audio world. The authors are not biest and do not advertise for specific companies (In articles that is). Overall, the Reviews are much better then you would find in other Car Audio books.
I mentioned the Directory issue earlier and I think that it is the best! I just bought the 2001 Directory and it has all the new components in it with their specs. Reading many other brands of Car Audio magazines, I think that Car Audio and Electronics has the best Comparisons of them all.
There are a few low points though. If you do not like advertisements, there are many in this book. Although, some people (like me) do like ads for Car Audio equipment. The ads are very colorful and usually exemplify the product. Finally, those little cards that they put in magazines, that usually ask the reader to subscribe, are in this book too. (Oh well, you can't have it all)
As you can piece together by reading my article, I do recommend this Magazine. It was helpful to me when I was looking at what the best Car stereo for my car was and I hope it will help you. You can bet that I am going to renew my subscription.
