Overall a Great machine

I had been researching espresso machines for some time because I wanted to update my Krups gusto steam powered machine. I make a lot of espresso during the day – usually twice for me and once for my wife. More if we have company! So I wanted something that was easy to use and fast. The steam-powered machines take far to long for my taste and if you want steam/froth you have to put more water in them and start over!
Not with this espresso maker! It puts out 19 bars of pressure so the espresso flows almost immediately (most home machines only put out 15 bars). Since it has a 73 oz. water reservoir you can froth/steam anytime. The steam takes about 15 – 20 seconds to start but keeps going as long as you need it.
The best feature of this machine by far is that it is semi-automatic. This means I do not have to deal with used coffee grounds after each shot of espresso! There is a large carousal on top of the machine. After the espresso is made turn the carousal and the grounds are placed into a container for you. You can make about 15 shots before it needs to be emptied.
Another plus . . . you can just keep the pump running and make a very good 8 oz cup of coffee! The instruction manual calls it ‘crème coffee’ but I just feel a little to snooty to say that. It is good strong coffee. So, for the most part, it has eliminated the need to have a coffee machine and an espresso maker – good thing considering the size of this machine.
The top needs to be pulled off about once each month and cleaned. I do not find this hard to do at all. It just pops off and I run it under the sink and scrub it with a soft brush for about 2 min. Not much to put up with considering the lack of daily maintenance required.

Capresso says there is a 1 year warranty and they will pick up shipping charges. Sounds great but I hope I never have to use it.
