Pros: Shape, design, water reservoir with filter, built-in bean grinder/holder, no waiting for coffee to brew.
Cons: PRICE, normal mugs don't fit, high maintenance, oily beans can clog machine, etc.
The Bottom Line: Stick to a nice coffee maker and save the rest for lattes made to order at your favorite cafe and some good 100% Kona or Jamaican Blue Mountain beans! Yum.

Review: I bought the Capresso C1000 from Williams-Sonoma on sale for about $800 + tax. Still expensive but the fact that I know many were purchased at full retail felt really nice. In all honesty, the sale made this machine even more appealing and...

Pros: Instantaneous coffee drinks
Cons: Coffee lukewarm/weak inability to make a strong mug size cup of crema coffee
The Bottom Line: Too much money for the end product. (Lukewarm not so strong coffee drinks). Too many defects in the product in a six month time period.

Review: After purchasing the C1000 through mail order, it arrived dented on the side with the steam/hot water knob broken. Capresso replaced this unit immediately and the representatives were very cooperative. My concern was that the replacement was a...

Pros: Instant espresso, extremely reliable and durable, fast and easy and cheaper than Starbucks!
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this machine for anyone in the market for super-automatic espresso. We love our machine and have had no problems with it at all. Worth every penny!

Review: Remember the days as a kid watching the Jetsons and wishing you had a house or robot maid which could do anything for you? Yeah, it's something like that for coffee.
I won't go on about the merits of this machine...others have done that... |

Pros: Convenient, fast, good quality espresso
Cons: Fragile, complex, poor bean grinder, atrocious support
The Bottom Line: Regardless of speed and convenience, its lack of durability and rude customer service gives it a thumbs-down from me.

Review: Amidst all the glowing reviews of the Capresso C1000 that are floating out on the web, here's a voice of reality. Buyer beware!
Unquestionably, the C1000 is a marvelous machine in many ways, as all these reviews will attest, and it's... |

Pros: Easy to use after initial learning period. Love it after 2 years.
Cons: Initially expensive to buy (pays for itself over time).
The Bottom Line: It's worth the price
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: If you drink coffee regularly (we started making lattes, which are easy with this machine), it's worth the expense, compared to the price of a daily trip to Starbucks-- will pay for itself over time. We have had no maintenance problems. Easy to use,...
