Are you "PRO" material?

by   NMD85 ,  Sep 19, 2001
Pros: Previously locked secrets now available instantly, improved "ratio" system
Cons: Dan and Joe are weak additions to a "more complete" version, Capcom's ugly artwork
The Bottom Line: If you've been skeptical about buying the game for mixed reasons last year, Capcom has made a complete version with a reasonable imported price tag of only $38
Review: Note: This is the enhanced Japanese version named "Capcom Vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro". This version, "Pro", is not available in America, this is a Japanese-only release. The "Pro" version a slightly enhanced version with every secret revealed...

Two Worlds Colliding

by   gorocco ,  Aug 5, 2001
Pros: Deep gameplay, large number of characters
Cons: Limited representation from various series
The Bottom Line: Capcom versus SNK is a great game for fans of old school, 2D fighters.
Review: Once upon a time, there were two companies vying to be the king of 2D fighting games. They fought mercilessly, launching game after game, sequel after sequel. Capcom used its primary weapon, the Street Fighter series – the one that...

Capcom vs. SNK for Dreamcast : Thumb Mashing at its finest

by   mycouponz ,  May 3, 2005
Pros: Looks and plays great
Cons: Repetitive music
The Bottom Line: Buy it!
Review: I am a HUUUUUUUUGE fan of the Street Fighter series. From its early humble beginnings - Street Fighter 2 - I didn't care for it that much. However, soon, Street Fighter 2 Turbo came out, and I bought it new from the store. It was worth every penny. ...

The King Of Cross-Overs.

by   Pika312 ,  Aug 29, 2003
Pros: Impressive visuals, tweaked gameplay, simple to pick up and hard to master.
Cons: Recycled audio, more character variety is needed, no domestic online play. Don't play with controller!
The Bottom Line: A must-have for serious 2D fighter fanatics.
Review: NOTE: Review is on the Japanese Capcom vs. SNK: Pro. You like chocolate, right? Tha ...

A Game for Fighting Fans

by   The_HTML_Man ,  Aug 15, 2001
Pros: Many favorites for characters, deep gameplay, good graphics, Capcom and SNK!!
Cons: Capcom used the alpha 3 sprites for the Street Fighter characters(except Bison)
The Bottom Line: An all around good game, with very few flaws, and a ton of good qualities.
Review: Capcom and SNK have been the life of 2d fighting games. They've kept them alive, feeding fresh ideas to the genre throughout the years. Many have considered them rival companies. Creating two of the greatest series of all time, the Street Fighter...

Capcom vs. SNK: An Excellent Concept With A Mediocre Execution

by   Slusy , lead in Games at Epinions.com ,  Aug 23, 2001
Pros: Variable size teams, large number of fighters
Cons: Horrible secrets system, grooves unbalance game play, nothing revolutionary
The Bottom Line: Capcom vs. SNK is an OK game, but it's not really anything that Street Fighter fans haven't seen before. Average more or less across the board.
Review: It used to be that Capcom could do absolutely no wrong in my eyes. They could put almost anything out (except for Cannon Spike) and I'd snap it right up and praise it as another loving morsel of gaming goodness sent down from above. Lately, though,...

A game that works better on paper than in reality...

by   SolidShoe ,  Sep 19, 2001
Pros: Music, Backgrounds, hype factor.
Cons: Nothing but SF disguised as something more mystical.
The Bottom Line: The neo-geo pocket version is ten times better. Shame on Capcom for being so lazy.
Review: I've been playing Capcom and Snk fighting games since each respective company debuted games like StreetFighter 2 and Fatal Fury. For me, fighting games encompass two leagues: laid back and hard core. It's a bit like graduation. I consider most capcom...
