$300 DISPOSABLE CAMERA

Date of Review: Sep 16, 2008

No exaggeration, three days after the warranty expired, the shutter speed slowed down so that every photograph was either blurred or greatly overexposed. Canon refused to replace the camera, but offered to repair it for $350, more than the cost of the camera itself. This is not the first Canon product I have had issues with, and I find their customer service to be among the worst in the industry.

Additionally, in that one year period, I had to purchase two (2) additional battery/charger packs, because the original battery would last for about three pictures. Again, I am not exaggerating. I first bought a new battery, and then a charger. So, all in all, for about $600, I got just under a year's worth of poor quality picture taking, and Canon doesn't feel I deserve anything for that.
