Author's Review
I received this camera when it first came out as a wedding gift. I took it on my Alaskan cruise and throughout Vancouver. The pictures were amazing. As a pro-am photographer, I have done tons of great projects with this camera from published books, posters, party favors, t-shirt designs and much more. On the higher settings you will get OUTSTANDING clarity and the ability to enlarge without losing sharpness. The colors and contrasts are perfectly balanced and the camera is extremely user friendly. If you dont already know what the camera symbols and settings are, read the instruction book. You will find that this does so much work for you. As a traditional darkroom junkie, I never thought that I would like digital cameras (if you remember the first professional cameras didnt even have 6 mega pixels.) When you see you photos in proper prints, you will forget that you were using a digital camera. It takes great pics of the kids, pets and more. I use the digital macro for super close-ups like flowers to get the best quality zoom on small objects. Also, set it up for continuous shots instead of taking single frames to eliminate that typical shutter delay especially under lower lighting and for action shots. I generally keep it on the kids and pets setting to eliminate the ghostly figures when the kids move too quickly for the camera. This camera is great for amateurs, parents/grandparents, teens and pros alike.
