The only con is that you cannot check the level of battery you have left.

The Canon SD600 is overall a great camera. I got it as a present for my 19th birthday from my parents. It works great when taking any kind of picture. Close-ups in macro really bring out a lot of detail. It rarely turns out a blurry picture, and if it does it's most likely because it isn't on the correct setting.
There are a lot of really great features with this camera. You can set it to take pictures and it will take into account where you are and the light you're in. There are settings from animals and small children, beach, night, fireworks, snow... the list goes on. With these settings, which are easy to select, taking the right picture, and taking it beautifully is easy.
The ONLY problem I have with this camera is that there is no way to check how much battery you have. The battery lasts a long time, so it isn't really an issue, but if you like to check then it could be an issue.
The battery and memory card are easy to access and the charger is very simple. You simply insert the battery into the charger and plug it in... it takes up very little space and charging does not take long.
This camera has an excellent display! It is large, clear, and you can zoom on any picture and watch any movies you film. The display has an auto flip sensor so it automatically rotates pictures.
The movie recorder is good too. It records clear movies with great sound.
I really love this camera. It doesn't really have any faults I can point out. It's easy to use, takes great pictures, is lightweight, and well worth the money.
