Canon Powershot A620 Digital Camera G-series performance at an A-series price

by   Howard_Creech , lead in Electronics at Epinions.com ,  Sep 25, 2005
Pros: Larger LCD screen, 7 megapixels, 4X optical zoom, full manual controls, and AA batteries
Cons: Some minor chromatic aberration (purple fringing) and very high noise levels at ISO 400
The Bottom Line: The A620 is a worthy successor to the A95 and A520
Review: Canon's "A" series digicams are justly famous for their no nonsense ergonomics, dependable performance, impressive durability, operational simplicity, and bang for the buck value. Last year's A510 and A520 models sold especially well because Canon ...

Canon PowerShot A620 7.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Fast, Pleasing Photos, But Flimsy

by   dkozin , lead in Electronics at Epinions.com ,  Oct 12, 2005
Pros: High resolution, sharp photos with pleasing colors, features, battery life, LCD
Cons: Flimsy, noise at ISO 400, uses 4 AA batteries, price
The Bottom Line: I have to say that the build quality of the A620 is too flimsy for such an expensive camera. But if you do not abuse it, it will probably...
Review: I wanted to check out the new 7 .1-Megapixel Canon PowerShot A620 ever since it was released. Once I saw that I could get it for only $324, I immediately ordered it. I also got the ...

by   thecomputerguy ,  Oct 30, 2006
Pros: Amazing photo quality, 20 shooting modes, Great zoom, Sharp LCD screen, AVI Video Recording
Cons: Low battery life using regular alkaline batteries,
The Bottom Line: The Canon A620 is perfect for anyone! It's advanced features are great for photo enthusiasts yet the simplicity of the camera will let anyone enjoy it.
Review: I purchased the Canon A620 to replace my older digital camera and let me say that I'm happy I upgraded. The Canon A620 has some great new features that my older camera had lacked and the picture quality is simply outstanding. Now I'm not going to claim ...

Pros: Excellent quality shots, excellent battery life, movable viewfinder, excellent manual settings
Cons: size, weight, quick but not instant photo taking
The Bottom Line: Excellent photos, lots of flexibility with options, overall wonderful camera
Review: I bought this to replace a Kodak digital camera which just wasn't taking reasonable shots, and my Canon A620 has been perfectly wonderful for more than a year. I'm here right now looking at prices to buy another one. I took my current one to Burning ...

We love our camera!

by   daisydreaming ,  Jan 16, 2007
Pros: Great pictures Easy to use basic features Lots of settings and possibility for additional lenses
Cons: not sure how well the lens cap and swinging display will last
The Bottom Line: It is easy to use and carry, has powerful features, and most important, great picture quality.
Review: We purchased this camera a little over a year ago. We were wanting a camera that was easy to use for vacations and such but we also wanted a camera we could "play with" when we got more into photography. The camera has been fairly easy to use, we ...

Excellent photos, very versatile camera

by   yozza ,  Oct 8, 2005
Pros: Excellent Picture Quality Focussing good and relatively fast Automatic settings good Fast power-up
Cons: Indoor low light performance Flimsy door on USB connector
The Bottom Line: Buy this for superb photos, particularly outdoor - makes my Kodak 6440 look like a toy.
Review: The immediate thing you notice with the Canon Powershot A620 is the power bulge with the 4 AA cells. This is going to be either something you like or immensely dislike. Personally I find this very convenient in terms of the shooting grip and a reassuring ...

Fun to use and great pictures

by   duckie68 ,  Aug 16, 2006
Pros: Photo quality, ease of use, good battery life.

Canon Powershot A620 camera

by   flipnotica ,  Apr 12, 2006
Pros: SD/Multimedia Card, USB 2.0, DIGIC II image processor, "AA" standard batteries.
Cons: Digital, DC IN, and A/V OUT door is flimsy. No battery life indicator.
The Bottom Line: This is a terrific camera. You really get a lot of bang for the buck. You get some SLR features in a fairly small camera. Canon has done it again.
Review: I really love this camera. I recently sold my Powershot A95 after owning it for 10 months and replaced it with this camera. I have grown very fond of Canon's CCD cameras. This is my second digital camera and I find that it is just as easy to use as the ...

Love It!

by   bluebeadz ,  Jun 28, 2006
Pros: Terrific macro and zoom functions. It has a 'quality feel' to it. Takes AA batteries.
Cons: USB connection cover has flimsy attachment; cover for the card seems only slightly better.
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend purchasing this for the photo quality, features available and price.
Review: I needed to replace my old Canon A50 (which also takes great pictures but it's not so easy to find batteries for it and the last one I bought nearly caught fire.) The A620 uses AA's, so battery replacement is much easier! I wanted good macro (for ...
