Canon HV10

I just bought this camera about three months ago… this is a very well thought out camcorder! For one thing, it uses the more common SD Mini card instead of being like Sony and making some product specific memory card… but to get right down to it--- this camcorder has some very nice features. For one: it has manual focus (a big plus for special effects), number two: it has a really great instant auto focus… I mean immaculate! It is really fast! Number three: it records in full 1080i HD format and has really super saturation! Very real colors, good tones! Number four: it does better than average in dark light… not the best, but very well! Number five: good battery life! It has an accessory shoe and composite out, A/V out, firewire (otherwise called iLink), USB 2.0… Not real hard to learn to use, controls pretty much self explanatory. Great 10X optical zoom, and the capability to put on filters or wide angle adapters, etc. Video light, camera flash, remote control sensor---all added bonuses. Really excellent mic quality------------- I definitely recommend this product…
Final conclusion: If you have a budget than get this one but if money is not as much a problem then get the big brother to this one, the Canon HV20 which has a few things that are nicer than this model… and is a little better quality!
