Great camcorder for the price

Pros: Good low light, excels in normal light, fabulous options.

Cons: For this price, haven't found any!

I must say that I am very happy with my latest purchase. I have tirelessly researched camcorders in this price range ($400-$600) and feel I made a wise choice. I got a chance to try the JVC GRD72US. Although this camera had a great zoom, the indoor quality was not the best under lower light. My original instinct was the Elura 70, so I stuck with it and purchased it. The 1/4" CCD DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE! The JVC has a 1/6" CCD which is what I am contributing the poor low light quality to. The Elura 70 did much better under the same lighting circumstances, without even engaging any of the'night shot' modes. I believe that in this price range, this is probably the best. The zoom is also the reason I picked this. Sony didn't offer it and some of the Panasonics I looked into didn't either. I also looked into the Panasonic PVGS120, but it was more money and I wasn't sure if it would be worth it. I was looking for a camera with above average color reproduction, optical zoom above 16x with a 1/4" CCD. This Elura fit the bill and I absolutely recommend it.
