Great for newbie & seasoned amateur

The Bottom Line: Great camera for beginner to enthusiast. Certainly not professional grade, but more than enough for average users (e-mail, print, web photos). Photos come out great, even under heavy zoom.
Review: When I bought a digital camera, I was really venturing into the unknown. Despite being a technical guy, digital photography was one area where I was a complete newcomer.

Disappointed with color & Auto-focus

The Bottom Line: My A630 doesn't give vibrant colors like my old Kodak & Nikon cameras. Auto setting is unreliable (esp. the focus), but at least I have other choices/controls.

Canon's A630 seems nice enough, but it's only bin a few weeks

- it'll last another four years, until it's time for the next one!
Review: My Canon PowerShot A40 of four years started malfunctioning after a few falls, etc.,
so on my recent Carnival Destiny cruise that went thru Sint Maarten
