Pros: Great value for money, everything you need, supremely well designed & laid out.
Cons: Noisy CCD at high ASA settings, so-so flash, no battery markings.
The Bottom Line: This camera is hard to beat, what little it lacks is overwhelmed by wonderful design & ease of use at an affordable price.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: As far as I can see Canon can do no wrong when it comes to easy to use digital cameras & my latest purchase, the A570IS (replacing my worn out Canon A80), is a case in point. Others may have the edge in one or two areas but when it comes down to...

Pros: Great crystal clear pictures. Video with sound is amazing. All features are easy to navigate.
Cons: Battery indicator defect! Feels cheap, compared to Nikon's P50. Battery door difficult to open/close.
The Bottom Line: GREAT camera except for aforementioned problem. Avoid this model as Canon has no plans to recall or fix. Other models in this line may/may not have said problem.

Review: Just bought mine a few days ago. Was working great, awesome pics and video. Much better than the Fujifilm I had. I thought all that research I did payed off. Until yesterday I was snapping pics and video at the local IHRA drag strip. The low battery...

Pros: Hard to damage the outside, breath-taking pictures, well worth your money.
Cons: Battery door is sometimes difficult, screen scratches easily.
The Bottom Line: The camera is very good for beginners and experts all alike. While it's not your best bet for taking 'professional' pictures, it takes very very nice ones.

Review: before I begin this review, I want to let you know that I jump around a lot in my reviews, so please bear with me (:! purchased this camera at Wal-mart a few months ago, and am very glad to have done so. The camera, while being a bit on the large...

Pros: Optical Image stabilization a real selling point. Easy to obtain batteries- SD cards are cheap.
Cons: A little bulky for a pocket, and there is "noise" with ISO settings above 400.
The Bottom Line: I recommend it primarily for the optical image stabilization, but also for ease-of-use and the ready availability of AA batteries in an emergency.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This camera is perfect for the quick, candid shot to record those family moments that only happen once. Zoom optical viewer as well as a vibrant LCD. Off-the-shelf AA batteries are easily obtainable and you can use rechargeable NiMH or NiCads. Using...

Pros: Image stabilization is GREAT! Quality is superb!
Cons: Could come with a bigger memory card.
The Bottom Line: I love this camera for it's excellent quality, low shutter-lag, and image stabilization technology.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I had a Kodak Z700 for a few years until it decided to become unreliable (a very bad thing for a digital camera!). For Christmas, my husband bought me the Canon A570 IS (from my wish list). I am so excited about the quality of the photos!

Review: Love this little toy!!
Unfortunately the battery "LO" icon flashes most of the time even though batteries are new! Great for the economy price and ease of use for "simple-type" zooms & macros, the kind you can't get with a plain point and... |

Pros: Great features
Cons: Battery problems make this a no no

Review: Great camera apart from the chronic and seemingly insoluble low battery indicator problems, widely discussed on line but denied by Canon. The camera shows low battery - and then closes down - sometimes after as few as half a dozen pictures,...

Pros: Excellent image quality, OIS, full manual and auto modes
Cons: Low-res LCD screen, SD slot placement, slow flash recharge
The Bottom Line: This camera is easy to use for beginners, but offers enough features to grow into. For the price, it can't be beat in its class.

Review: I needed to move up to a digital camera and was reviewing my choices. I figured I'd go with Canon since I'd been using their point-and-shoots for years without disappointment. I narrowed it down to the A570IS. The camera offered a whole host of...
