Pros: Like the simple dial for settings. Good screen size.
Cons: A little big. A little heavy.
The Bottom Line: Buy it and don't be afraid to use your warranty.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Poor battery life? For those of you that have this problem let me tell you what happened to me. My battery life was 24 hours before the low battery was flashing. I didn't even have to have it out of the case to take pictures for this to happen...

Review: I have a Canon Powershot A570 and I think it is the best digital camera available in its price range. I admit that I am not a very technical person, so this review might not have all the technical terms you might usually find in a camera review. But...

Pros: Compact. Basic features easy to use. So far has stood by the Canon name.
Cons: Instruction manual a little hard to follow. Average battery life.
The Bottom Line: For the quality of prints that I have obtained with this camera I would not hesitate to buy again. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Review: I have been a Pentax user for years with my 35mm SLR, then came digital. I started out with a 3 megapixel and once I got the hang of digital vs. film I was hooked. As with any product they improve so quickly you keep wanting more. So on advice of a...

Review: I bought the A570 IS as my first digital after reading so many good reviews, and I don't regret it. It has all I wanted and more in a camera, but some essentials you should order at the same are a camera bag, a 2 GB memory card, and a set of...

Pros: Excellent pictures, macro focus, manual controls
Cons: autoexposure flaky, complex controls, mechanical failure of lens extension mechanism in less than three months
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Good pictures and does have manual controls. I like and need the macro focus. AutoExposure failed from time to time (e.g., when taking several pictures under the same light conditions, one would be seriously underexposed). Light and easy to carry in...

Pros: Digic III , Improved FD, IS
Cons: Slow flash recycling.
The Bottom Line: If you want a camera on AA batteries with reasonably good videos and IS, this is great choice in my opinion.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This camera takes excellent photos. Features-wise, I think this is the best in A series and SD series as this is only Camera with IS, Digic III and improved face detection (not only detects face but set exposure, focus and flash accordingly)...

Pros: Takes wonderful pictures
Cons: Vey poor battery life
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Would not recommend this camera because of the poor battery life. When I first got it the batteries would only last for 2 or 3 pictures so sent it back to Canon for repair and it came back marginally better but still unacceptable. Have tried...

Pros: Versatile and feature rich. Strong video modes. Quality feel. Includes a viewfinder.
Cons: Zooming blurs video. Poor color balance on pics in "auto" mode.
The Bottom Line: With versatile video modes, viewfinder, rich feature set, easy to use controls and very attractive price point, this camera is ideal for both enthusiasts and soccer moms.

Review: I wanted a camera/camcorder all in one. I first thought I'd buy a camcorder that took stills, but quickly realized to get halfway decent pictures, you need an HD camcorder ($1000). So, then I went the "camera that takes video" route and settled in...
