Quiet and smooth

This printer is an excellent deal. I read reviews before making the decision to purchase this printer. I bought a floor model for $100, came with used cartridges (EMPTY), why? why? why? do they cost so much!?

I really like how quiet it is when it prints, well except when the drawer is closed and you tell it to print and then insert drop noise. It's a controlled drop so it won't be breaking from opening and how cool is it that you can have the paper tray closed, only to have it open by itself when you send a printing task! My HP shook itself off my desk, so this is a welcome change! It's solid and easy to use. I like the push of the button copy mode, so you can use it as a copier.

Scans are really pretty good, the color isn't EXACTLY the color of the photos, but it is very good. Totally blasts my HP out of the water. I wish it would scan negatives and slides!

Though I haven't ever put a memory card into the slot it is a very nice option to be able to print a raw image rather than a .jpg. I have just recently bought a Canon SLR camera, and will most definitely be trying this to see how the pictures turn out. Yes RAW images are better than JPG.

I think it goes through ink rather quickly.
