A great Inexpensive Printer
Date of Review: Jan 23, 2008
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this printer to anyone. It's very easy to set up, runs relatively quiet, doesn't jam and the colors are beautiful. It's also inexpensive.
We just bought the Canon Pixma IP 1800 printer for only $50.00. It's so much quieter than the Epson Stylus C40UX that we had.
It's very stylish with a black mirror finish. Prints a lot faster than the old Epson, about 20 sheets per minute.

When properly stored.
Something new about this. When I was setting up this printer I noticed the ink cartridges. They have micro chips on them. Be careful not to touch those.
The instructions state not to touch the microchips or it may not work. Also if your not careful and the ink cartridges are not seated properly before you start the printer will not work and if you try to correct the position after you've stared the printer it may void it out. These cartridges cannot be reused or refilled.
I've priced replacement inks using the canon brand and it runs about $35.00 to replace both the black and chromacolor ink cartridges.
So far I'm very happy with this printer.
