Canon PIXMA iP4300 InkJet Photo Printer

I've had computers and printers for about 25 years.  I have had this Canon IP4300 for well over a year and have never had the least problem with it.  I can't say that about any other printer I've ever had.
Three tips:
(1)  Use Canon ink cartridges.  It might appear to be more expensive up front, but the cartridges last for a very long time and they don't clog up the printing mechanism,
(2)  Make it a firm habit to turn off the printer when you're finished printing.
(3)  Make it another firm habit to either unplug the printer, or, preferably, turn off the surge protector when you are finished with the computer.
My only regret is that, if I ever need another printer, they won't be making the IP4300 any more.
