FANTASTIC QUALITY! WORTH EVERY PENNY!

This is an AMAZING camera. I have been using it for a few months. I previously had an HP Photosmart 912x which I was tired of because it's not a digital SLR.

I paid $1800 for the kit through Dell.

It takes a little getting used to because you need to read the manual to figure out everything it does and it does A LOT. But if you want, it's certainly possible to use it right out of the box. It has great photo quality, and exposure adjustements are easy to make as well as shutter, aperture, etc. It has many presets such as "portrait, landscape, etc" modes and is completely expandable in terms of lenses. I intend to buy a better lens after the holidays.

The lens is comes with is adequate for everyday shooting but if you want to do professional quality you may need to upgrade to a better lends - not because of quality - the quality of the photos are excellent but in terms of making it easier to get closer/wider shots, etc.

Shutter lag is non-existant - on my previous digital camera the shutter took forever on regular photos and on this one it's instantaeous.

Battery Life is EXCELLENT - I took this camera with me to France where I took 1200 photos over a week and I NEVER had to recharge! The battery life is amazing!

Overall, a great camera and I have no complaints. Buy one and you'll love it!
