Review: Background
The Canon PIXMA iP4200 replaces the iP4000 and iP3000 in Canon s line of inkjet photo printers, but it does not include any revolutionary new features. What you will get with the iP4200 is a slightly less expensive printer... |

Pros: Printer is inexpensive, fast and prints great looking photos and documents
Cons: It guzzles ink cartridges and they're not cheap
The Bottom Line: This is a nice functioning printer and the cartridge use is more manageable when I print photos at Walgreens for 19 cents.

Review: This is a well made printer. It is easy to set up. The print quality is excellent in all modes. It operates smoothly and prints standard black ink copies and proofs quickly. The dye-based ink cartridges for the Canon Pixma's tend to be a bit messy,...

Pros: Affordable, efficient, excellent quality results
Cons: None of significance
The Bottom Line: This is an affordable printer for quality at-home printing of photos. I am unable to detect significant difference between it and lab printed photos and this suits me well.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I purchased this printer on clearance at Staples, bundled with a camera (the Powershot A410) for $150 total, so my absolute favorite part of this printer is the price.
At 29ppm black and 20ppm color, this printer does its work quite... |

Pros: Flawless printing, Individual cartridges, very good prints, Hong Kong version prints DVD surfaces.
Cons: Software hung while loading in XP, Installed a banner on my browser
The Bottom Line: Very good photo printer. I bought it for its DVD printing capabilities. Check to see if that feature is included before buying. I highly recommend it for that.

Pros: Double sided printing. Excellent print quality. Conservative on ink usage. Quiet. Easy to use.
Cons: Clogged ink heads. Opening new cartridge spread ink all over hands.
The Bottom Line: It's a good printer, no jams, good quality printing. If you're having ink troubles look to the vents on the top.

Pros: space saver, nice looking, speedy printing, low maintenance, reasonable ink costs and life.
Cons: Various issues with ink cartridges not being recognized. Software reports ink out when it isn't!
The Bottom Line: Good printer but beware of ink problems and a programmed software that tells you ink is out when it isn't prompting people to buy more ink when it's not needed.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Overall I'm very pleased with the quality and speed of this printer. One huge complaint I have and this has been confirmed by others as well, is that the printer software will warn that the printer cartridge is out of ink, I take it out snap it back...
