Very bad experience with this color copier for output from computer

Jagged edges on fine line images, visible pixels on bitmapped images with enough resolution so that this shouldn't be a problem. Seems that there is no anti-aliasing going on at all.

Service was alway out fixing this or that. The printer was supposed to do thick paper (card stock) it never did, it always jammed. Also, the printer was supposed to work on transparency paper, it never did this either.

We were actually much happier with our prior machine, a CLC900, except that the RIP was too slow.

This machine is much lower quality than competitive systems. Minolta, Xerox and Konica all had better quality systems for less cost. If you are looking for a way to output hi-quality computer graphic output, this is not the machine to use. Make sure to get a thorough test drive first.

We were convinced to lease before we saw the unit. This is a major problem. In this case we have found the CANON has acted completely unscrupulously.
